Mr. HANECHE took part in a large number of regional and international conferences and chaired Algerian delegations to several international meetings, notably the Ministerial Conferences of Organization of African Unity (OUA), African Union and the League of Arab States.
He has been the national coordinator for the Barcelona Euro-Mediterranean process and NATO’s Mediterranean Dialogue (2001-2005) and in this capacity took part in all the Euro-Mediterranean ministerial conferences as well as at the first Barcelona Summit
